Rita can’t stop Pearland!

The October Region One meeting will be on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Pearland Police Department, 2703 Veterans Drive, Pearland.  The program will be presented by John Matherne on Sexual Predators.  This is also the meeting where we nominate officers for 2006 and it is important for as many associations as possible to be represented.  Going East on Highway 518 from Highway 288, take West Walnut Street and turn right on Veterans Drive.  Going West on Highway 518 from I-45, turn left on Highway 35, right on West Walnut and left on Veterans Drive.  Going South or North on Highway 35, take West Walnut Drive in a Westerly direction to Veterans Drive and turn South.  If you get lost, call 281-652-1100. Come early for refreshments.

The November Region One meeting will be in Texas City on Saturday, November 12, 2005.  Mark your calendar and make your plans.

We would like to increase our attendance and show our appreciation to the sponsoring CPA’s.  Please try to have at least one member from your Alumni at Region One each month. Keep in mind that the meetings have been changed to 10:00 A.M. to allow for late risers to attend. We have had an average of 9-12 Associations represented at meetings in 2005 even though we have 23 Associations in good standing. We realize that there have been some anxious moments and devastating results for some of our association members due to Hurricane Rita.  Come if you can and share your experiences.
